Details

This carefully restored former coaching inn is one of the most characterful hotels in the St Albans area.

Surrounded by villages like Frogmore, South Mimms and Colney Heath, it's a welcome escape whether on a short break or a business trip. At an Innkeeper's Lodge we have all the ingredients for a relaxing stay. Some of the home comforts you can enjoy include free parking and a complimentary continental buffet breakfast for all guests. Our rooms are all en-suite and non-smoking and there are complimentary hot drinks, a flat screen TV with Freeview and free WiFi.

The pretty village of London Colney gives you the best of both worlds. Sitting near the quiet river of Colne it provides the perfect, peaceful getaway - yet it's only 45 minutes away from Central London, via Junction 22 of the M25. And with 13 en-suite rooms and a cosy pub serving hearty, freshly prepared food, the lodge is as comfortable as it is convenient.

Food & Drink

The food we love to eat at The Colney Fox is the food we serve, that's why our guests keep coming back. They trust us to get their favourites absolutely right - pub classics such as our Butcher's Choice Sausage and Mash - and to surprise them with something unexpected like our new Scottish Mussels in a White Wine and Parsley Sauce baked in a hand-rolled garlic bread crust - perfect for dipping!

Less of a wine list, more of a wish list - our collection brings together the best of both old and new worlds. You'll find great value bottles, as well as prized sparkling wines for special occasions.

We are proud to serve great cask ales and our changing selection features the finest from Britain's regional breweries alongside regular favourites.
