Details

The Three Horseshoes is a traditional coaching inn near Alton, in the heart of rural Hampshire. A family-run establishment, it’s a relaxed, friendly place that captures all the charm of a country pub.

With its first-class atmosphere and fine home-cooked fayre, The Three Horseshoes is the type of pub you’ll never want to leave. We have five comfortable well-appointed guest rooms, three en-suite. There is ample free parking with space for motor home stopovers. In the summer you can enjoy our pretty secluded garden and in the winter our lovely log fires.

There are many lovely walks accessed from the Three Horseshoes and walkers and cyclists are always welcome. The Inn is 2 miles from the market town of Alton which has its own steam railway, The Watercress Line.

With a firm focus on preparing food from scratch, our two resident chefs go to great lengths to bring you something a bit special. We home-bake our own bread, and we love to use local ingredients too - making the most of fantastic Hampshire produce in a wide range of our dishes.

The menus here are a superb mix of traditional pub favourites and new, innovative dishes. Try our classic slow cooked pork belly with crackling and cider sauce, London-Pride-battered fish and chips - or our best-selling steak and ale pie in suet and wholegrain mustard crust.

Alternatively, you can seek inspiration from our specials board. We’ve something new for you to try every day, including a fresh ‘catch of the day’ fish special, bought that very morning. Whatever you choose, be sure to leave room for our scrummy homemade puddings.
