Welcome to the Oakeley Arms, a beautiful Historic Welsh Inn set in the Snowdonia National Park offering delicious food and drink alongside comfortable accommodation.

Dating back to the 16th century, the grade two listed building is one of the most historic inns in Wales. It has recently been lovingly restored to maintain an abundance of period features and charm, whilst providing modern and comfortable facilities.

Situated in the pretty village of Maentwrog and surrounded by the lush green hills of the Vale of Ffestiniog in the heart of Snowdonia, the Oakeley Arms is the perfect base for a holiday in North Wales.

It has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where you can enjoy quiet time and sample their Cask Marque accredited real ales alongside freshly prepared home-cooked food. At the Oakeley, they can cater for a wide variety of weddings, events and functions, including corporate meetings, training events, birthday parties, funeral luncheons or christening parties.

The Oakeley is ideally situated as a base to explore a wide range of attractions in Snowdonia. They are only 3.5 miles from the Italian designed village of Portmeirion, 5 miles from Zipworld, Bounce Below, Lechwedd Slate Caverns and Quarry tours. Harlech Castle is also close by and the world famous Ffestiniog Railway is only a quarter of a mile away.

The Snowdonia hotel rooms come fully equipped with colour televisions and hot drink facilities. All tariffs are inclusive of a hearty Welsh breakfast. There are single, double, twin and family rooms available. They can also arrange guided Snowdonia walks and massages, perfect after a long day exploring the countryside.

The once derelict stables have been lovingly renovated into stunning self catering holiday cottages set in the Oakeley’s grounds. These charming self catering cottages in the heart of Snowdonia are enchantingly named after local mountains and rivers.

Traditional furniture and original features mean that the cottages contain an abundance of charm and period style, but modern and quality fixtures mean that guests don’t have to compromise on style or practicality. You’ll be greeted with wine and Cathryn cariad chocolate on arrival and bed-linen and towels are provided. All you have to do is relax and enjoy the fabulous views across the Vale of Ffestiniog.
