Details

A Grade II listed Georgian inn of honey coloured Cotswold stone, the Horse and Groom is bursting with character. The hill top setting provides spectacular views over the surrounding landscape.

Located in the heart of Bourton-on-the-Hill, here you can retreat for a leisurely meal, stop by for a drink and stay over for a relaxing break. The light and airy bar is well stocked with real ales and wines and the beautifully restored dining room, with its log fire blazing in the winter makes a welcoming setting in which to enjoy the exquisite classic British cuisine with a modern twist.

With their award-winning food offering the focus is using the best fresh ingredients and combining them with minimal fuss and interference, allowing the natural flavours to shine. The pub make full use of the array of small producers in the Cotswolds and surrounding areas, meaning the kitchen team work with some of the best produce available. There is a veg patch and fruit cage in the pub gardens and an allotment in the neighbouring village where they grow as much of their own produce as they can.

The well-stocked bar offers great variety from old favourites to new brews. The three hand pumps take centre stage offering a regularly changing selection of local real ales.

There are five sumptuous bedrooms, each individually styled and tastefully furnished with en-suite bath and shower and flat screen digital televisions. Complimentary mineral water and tea-and-coffee-making facilities are also provided.

The Horse and Groom are proud to be part of The Epicurean Collection, a group of boutique countryside inns dedicated to the finest in British food, comfort and culture — all set in some of England's most idyllic locations.
