Cirencester is a jewel in the Cotswolds' crown. At The Fleece you'll discover plenty of history and character, mixed with a blend of modern style and service, just as you'd expect from a 5 star inn.

A traditional coaching inn right in the heart of Cirencester, with a history that goes way back to 1651 when King Charles II hid from Cromwell’s troops in the building. The Fleece offers some of the finest accommodation in the area and with a warm welcome and great food is a great base to explore the Cotswolds.

Located in the centre of the popular picturesque market town of Cirencester, The Fleece is a cosy inn filled with character and charm that offers the finest local foods, award winning ales and a comfortable bed for the night.

The Fleece at Cirencester is perfectly positioned to enjoy both town and country; with a wide range of independent shops on its door steps and yet just a few minutes’ drive from the glorious surrounding countryside. The streets of Cirencester are filled with boutiques, studios and artists workshops; ideal for lazy strolls or some serous shopping. Further afield are the well-known towns or Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Camden and Tetbury. And for race days and city life, Cheltenham is only 30 minutes too.

However you choose to spend your day, you will be able to come back to the Fleece and enjoy home cooked food made from quality locally sourced ingredients. After a hearty dinner you can enjoy a relaxing night’s sleep in one of the 28 cosy and comfortable guest rooms. All rooms have a charming Cotswold style in their décor and furnishing, and retain the quirky and original feature you would expect to find in a building that started life back in 1650.

In the cold winter months you can cosy up next to their log fire on a comfy sofa with a glass of mulled wine or festive ale, and on the summer days the outdoor terrace is the ideal spot for al fresco dining throughout the day.

The rooms at The Fleece are filled with the little things that will make your stay more comfortable, such as; complimentary WiFi throughout the inn, flat screen digital TVs, tea and coffee making facilities, large comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms and complimentary toiletries.

If you are looking for a little more space or for an extra special stay, why not reserve one of their Character rooms; all make the most of the wonderful architectural features in the building and really are the best rooms in the house.

After a peaceful night’s sleep you will be woken up to aromas of a freshly cooked English breakfast made with the finest sausage, bacon and eggs from local Cirencester suppliers.

They have a couple of rooms that are designated ‘doggy friendly’ – please let them know when you make your reservation that you will be bringing your four-legged friend and they will allocate your room accordingly. There is a £15 charge for dogs per stay. They donate 10% of this to their nominated charity Teckels Animal Rescue Centre – www.teckels.org.
