The Swan was refurbished in August 2011, the Swan is now a family and pet friendly traditional local pub based in the middle of a bustling high street which serves food daily.

The pub is open Monday to Thursday 09.00 TO 11.30pm, Friday and Saturday 9.00 to 20.00am and Sunday 10.00 to 11.00pm. There is a self-contained function room ideal for parties and corporate events, skittle alley, beer garden, BT sports and has traditionally styled bed and breakfast rooms which are decorated to suit the era of the building yet with a modern feel in light pale pastel colours overlooking the high street.

The Swan is steeped with character and old fashioned charm. The Swan was the first original coach house in Thornbury and there is only 1 other building that was built prior to The Swan which is Thornbury Castle the back wall dates back to 1659, most of the building are grade listed 1 and 2.

They have raised in total £43,500 for various local charities through our fundraising events!! The Swan has been awarded the Regional Community Pub of the year for Bristol / surrounding area and South West Wales - we have won £5000 to put towards a Community Based charity. During 2014 the Swan won the Gold Award in the Thornbury In Bloom for the array of colour and its arrangements of flowers. The Swan won a silver award in March 2015 for Fairtrade hot drinks and being an active supporter of Fairtrade.

The Swan is able to offer traditionally styled bed and breakfast that is in keeping with the era of which it became the first coach house in Thornbury but with a clean modern fresh twist. All the rooms are tastefully decorated with antique fine furniture and decorated in pale pastel colours keeping it light and airy. All rooms overlook the high street where banks shops and various eateries can be found.

Full English breakfast comes as standard however if you would like to have an option of bed breakfast and evening meal then this option is also available as well as a packed lunch option. The Swan is a friendly and family run pub which is why we can be so flexible on any special requirements that you may have. All rooms have as standard hot drinks making facilities with colour television free Wi-Fi.
