The Golden Acorn has undergone new and exciting changes, transforming many of the bedrooms and communal areas of the hotel. They offer 26 bedrooms, all of which are available as either king-size doubles or twins. In addition to this all of the rooms provide en-suite bathrooms as well as tea and coffee making facilities, complementary water, a hairdryer, a flat screen TV and free WiFi throughout the property. Rooms with adjoining doors are available upon request, ideal for families and large groups.
The Fife region has much to welcome visitors. Golfers delight in the array of courses available. One of the most famous being St Andrews, just a 20 mile drive away. For non-golfers, the beautiful scenery of the Fife area is one of its main attractions, as are some of Scotland's best-kept beaches, the delightful East Neuk fishing villages and the historic Falkland Palace, former residence of Mary Queen of Scots. Walkers and wildlife lovers can explore the surrounding countryside and walk the Fife Coastal Path. Great walks can also be found on the nearby Lomond Hills and at Loch Leven.
