Welcome to The Scott Arms in Kingston, a pub with history, character, community and atmosphere.
We have recently renovated our accommodation to a very high standard, and we are now able to offer a 3-bedroom self-contained apartment, The Castle Lookout, above the pub as well as two B&B rooms: Swyre Head and Chapmans Pool, both offering a spacious, comfortable and relaxing base from which to enjoy the wider Purbeck area (or just the delights of the pub, if you so desire).
Along with our delicious locally-sourced breakfasts and our prime location in the heart of the Purbeck landscape, we believe The Scott Arms is amongst the best places to spend a night (or two) in the area.
We're open every day for lunch and dinner and our seasonal menus make ample use of great local ingredients from Purbeck suppliers which help to create an exciting selection of modern British (and not so British) classics. We always have a great choice of seasonal specials: lots of game in the winter, fresh seafood in the summer, and plenty of fresh, locally-grown vegetables.
During the Summer there is little more pleasurable than eating some genuine barbecued Jamaican food from The Jerk Shak in the garden, sitting in the warmth of a balmy evening and staring out across to the ruins of Corfe Castle.
We pride ourselves on our selection of real ales and draught lagers, and we constantly look to improve our range: we've always got a guest ale or two for the discerning drinker, as well as permanent ales from Dorset, Cornish and Hampshire breweries. We have a traditional scrumpy on draught, along with a range of bottled lagers and beers.
