Details

The Weary Ploughman Inn is a warm and friendly West Country dining pub and hotel with great contemporary bedrooms located on the English Riviera near beautiful Brixham in South Devon.

We offer a choice of tastefully decorated rejuvenated guest bedrooms. Individually styled, kingsize and super-king size double bedrooms are available, with one twin-bedded room.

Each room provides a relaxing and comfortable ‘home from home’ feel with en-suite bathroom and ? or shower facilities. Our en-suite bathrooms have a shower over the bath with a glass shower screen, toilet and wash basin and heated towel rail. There are shampoo ? shower gel dispensers in each bathroom.

Our hotel accommodation offers flat-screen television with Freeview, Sony radio alarm clocks with iPod ? iPhone docks, a thermostatically controlled central heating radiator, quiet ceiling fan, tea & coffee making facilities, and a hair dryer. Free WiFi is available for guests.

Our ideal location, in Churston, Brixham on the South Devon coastline means that our superb restaurant menu is always based on the very best and freshest local produce from Devon. Our Head Chef Will Hext takes great pride in sourcing local producers and creating freshly prepared restaurant dishes for you to enjoy.

We have a wide range of drinks from real ales to fine wines, and all chosen with care from the best brewers and wine merchants.

We’ve become a very popular meeting place for local residents and Agatha Christie fans; the Queen of Crime’s riverside residence at Greenway, now run by the National Trust, is just 2 miles away.

Walkers love to stay and dine here too as we are a short stroll to the famous South West Coast Path heading to Dartmouth and on towards Cornwall in one direction and to the red cliffs of east Devon in the other.

Birdwatchers are warmly welcomed and often drop in after a fascinating day spotting the migrants from the cliffs at spectacular Berry Head National Nature Reserve, also close by.
