Situated in the stunning Exmoor National Park, The Crown, previously a coaching house dating back to the 18th century, now offers a relaxing and cosy atmosphere for visitors.

The Crown provides a stunning location for a getaway offering a resting place where travellers can relax in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The location offers not only great walking opportunities, but a great base to explore the moors and the rugged north Devon coast.

The Crown started life as a coaching house in the 1760s. Since then it has developed in many ways over the years but has always remained as the social hub of the village of Lynton. The pub was part of the recovery centre in the flood of 1952 and is famous for being one of the locations where murals were painted on the walls by renowned artist Mick Cawston.

The classic bar menu offers all the usual favourites, a selection of salads, jacket potatoes, sandwiches through to fish and chips, lasagna, scampi and larger main meals. Daily specials offer something extra special with that home cooked feel ranging from classic winter warmers to lighter summer dishes, using locally sourced ingredients from local suppliers.

Don't miss their Sunday carvery with a choice of three meats and a wide selection of fresh vegetables and homemade Yorkshire puddings. The pub are very proud to serve a selection of well-kept St Austell ales and local guest beers. you can be sure of a pint of quality beer in tip top condition as well as all your favourite wines and soft drinks.

The pub represents fantastic value for food and drink in addition too comfortable accommodation. The pub houses a selection of double, twin, four poster beds and family rooms, all fitted with en-suite bathrooms. They also provide free parking, free WiFi, flat screen TVs and tea and coffee making facilities.

They pride themselves on their hearty breakfasts, what better way to set yourself up for a day exploring the stunning countryside Devon has to offer. The breakfast include choices from the buffet which include fruit, yoghurt, juice and cereals, followed by a full English breakfast or something lighter such as smoked salmon and scrambled egg as well as continental options.
