With seven facing rooms all overlooking the Dart River, you can't help but relax as the sound of flowing water goes by your window. The views add to the experience and a good night's sleep is inevitable. So whether a business stop off on your way through Devon and Cornwall or a week's break away from the hustle and bustle of the city, The Abbey Inn with single, double and twin rooms available is the ideal choice.

They are more than happy to accommodate all of your holiday and business needs. Whether a quiet bite to eat by the bar before a walk on the moors or a special evening spent in the cosy restaurant, the Abbey Inn offers a selection of traditional home cooked hearty meals all locally sourced and served with fresh seasonal produce.

With lunch and evening meals served from 12-3pm and 6-9pm the Abbey Inn offers daily specials, lunch time bar menu, Abbey old boys special lunches and an ever popular Sunday Carvery, where seating is limited and booking is highly recommended.

The Abbey Inn is perfectly situated to meet all of your needs from a 10 minute walk to Buckfast Abbey, or a stroll down to the Otter and Butterfly sanctuary next to the old South Devon Railway, there is always something to do. For the more adventurous there is great canoeing opportunities on the river as well as potholing, cycling, horse riding, quad biking, caving and even hot air balloon rides, not to mention excellent fishing opportunities on the Abbey Inn's very own river banks. Being only 22 miles from either Plymouth or Exeter means there is a fantastic choice of shopping centres to choose from, all offering the latest high street fashions and busy nightlife.

The Abbey Inn is perfectly situated just off the A38.

From Exeter take the first Buckfastleigh slip road off the A38, take a right over the bridge and right again at the roundabout following signs for Buckfast Abbey you will find us on the right hand side on Buckfast Road. The Abbey Inn car parking is a short distance past the pub on the right and round the back of the cottages. Keep an eye open for our sign.

From Plymouth take the second Buckfastleigh slip Road off the A38, left at top of the slip road towards the roundabout. Right at the roundabout following signs for Buckfast Abbey, you will find us on the right hand side on Buckfast Road. The Abbey Inn car parking is a short distande past the pub on the right and round the back of the cottages. Keep an eye open for our sign.
