The West Arms enjoys an idyllic setting in the foothills of the Berwyn Mountain, a rural paradise - a historic 16th Century building with considerable character.

All of the rooms at The West Arms are unique. From the character rooms in the original part of the building to more contemporary rooms at the rear, you willl find all of the rooms offer a great degree of comfort. The hotel boasts two large Suites, a Four Poster Bedroom, Character Rooms, Superior Rooms, Standard Rooms and a Chauffer’s Wing.

Our Suites include the Bunny Warren and the Willow Suite. The Bunny Warren is a lovely split level Suite with exposed beams throughout whilst the Willow Suite is a recently renovated and offers pure luxury.

All prices are for the room when occupying two people, including full breakfast. Pets are welcome for an additional fee.

Our award winning restaurant and Chef offer an extensive Seasonal Menu to tempt every taste and is supported by daily extras and specials. For those with a more traditional palate, however, we always offer classic dishes such as Gammon Steak with Free Range Eggs, Steak Pie and Ceiriog Trout. Our talented Chefs are always ready to accomodate special requests and dietary concerns.

We offer meals at lunch time daily in the Lounge Bar, Public Bar or cosy Front Hall from 12 Mid-day to 2.30 pm. We serve Freshly made Soup and Sandwiches along with traditional Afternoon Tea throughout the day. In the evenings we offer meals from 6.30 pm until 9 pm. As always, you may join us in the bar, lounge or restaurant.

On Sundays we serve food from 12 – 9 pm and always have a traditional Roast Dinner on offer.

We are justifiably proud of our inclusion in the Good Food Guide recommendation for four consecutive years. 

We are also licensed for Weddings, have Function and Conference facilities, and are happy to offer bespoke quotes for any occasion.

A fabulous and spacious Suite with a Super King-Size bed, En Suite bathroom, large private lounge with massage chair, leather three piece suite and views of the Village. The bedroom is beamed and retains its original character, being in the oldest part of the hotel. This Suite offers a character original bedroom with exposed beams. It is delightfully cosy and located within the 16th century part of the hotel. It boasts an unusual layout that is tri-leveled. The double bedroom is situated upstairs on the third floor. The private yet quirky bathroom is located half way up the stairs on what could be considered a second floor.

The lower level features a large lounge area with two sofas. This is ideal for small children. We have folding beds which would also accommodate children in the lounge area. The room is equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, torch, Ipod docking station and direct dial telephone.

Please note this Suite has 3 levels and has a slim bath. There is a hand shower as well.

A 16th century Character bedroom with a genuine Antique Four Poster Bed enjoying Village views. This room was named after a former proprietor, Mr John Howard, who owned the hotel during the 19th century.

It is a beautifully traditional room with exposed beams, a King Size-Bed, comfortable sofa and quirky En Suite bathroom equipped with a full sized bath and overhead shower. The room is equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, hairdryer, torch, alarm clock and direct dial telephone.

We have two Superior rooms.  There are Super King-Size beds in these rooms which have views over The Berwyn Hills. The rooms have an en-suite bathroom consisting of a Full Size bath with separate walk in shower facilities.

The rooms are very bright and modern. They are positioned at the rear of the hotel which is generally very quiet in addition to being a newer part of the Inn. Whilst the rooms do not have some of the character of the original part of the hotel, they more than make up for it with comfort and convenience.

The rooms are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, hairdryer, torch, alarm clock, ipod docking station and direct dial telephone. One of the Superior Rooms (Room 10) is on the ground floor and is suitable for disabled or people with restricted mobility.

 The Standard rooms, although more modern than the Character rooms, still retain a unique quirkiness and enjoy beautiful views of the Berwyn Hills or garden area. These Double rooms enjoy En-Suite Baths and showers, colour television, hairdryer, alarm clock and direct dial telephone.

No two rooms are the same which adds a quaint charm to the hotel. Some of the Standard rooms are on the ground floor enabling easy access for a wheelchair or for those with difficulty in managing stairs.

These cosy rooms are accessible from outside of the main building. They are slightly below street level and share a hallway. Both have their own En-Suite Bath/Shower, colour television, hairdryer, alarm clock and direct dial telephone.

There are two Chauffeurs rooms. Both have Double sized beds but one is more suitable for a single person. The Bathroom for the Single is located in the hallway but it is private.
