Details

The Crown is a stunning property situated in a fantastic location on the bank of the River Eamont.

Delicious home-cooked dishes are served in their restaurant throughout the day, with everything from a full-cooked breakfast to a hearty bowl of soup, fresh sandwich selections to a tasty supper plate. Their Chef's work with local suppliers to feature produce from the area, and you’ll see lots of local Cumbrian names on the menu too.

Thwaites brew beers exclusively for sale in their pubs and inns with up to 6 different ales per month - so you know there's always going to be something new and exciting to try. It’s not just their food and drinks that will take your breath away – they offer spectacular views of Lake Ullswater, the surrounding hills and the River Eamont from their split-level outdoor terrace at the sheltered rear of the inn.

This pub has 17 fabulous guest bedrooms all decorated to a high specification and each room is unique. Cosy and comfortable, all their guest room interiors have been inspired by the natural environment of mountains, trees and lakes. Restful tones and fabulous fabrics create a haven of peace and quiet, the perfect place to reflect on the days exploration and prepare to tuck in to some delicious local produce over a pint or two of the owners brew.

Some of their rooms are dog-friendly – please let them know if you’re planning on bringing your four-legged friend so that they can allocate a suitable room for you. They charge a flat fee of £15 per pet per stay and donate 10% of this to their local branch of SARDA – Search and Rescue Dogs Association.
