Lovely spacious room with high ceilings and a king size bed. Hand blocked Farrow & Ball wallpaper. Sadly our only room with no view, but natural light and a sumptuous sofa makes this a room to enjoy.

The Punch Bowl Inn is a luxury Lake District pub which offers a unique blend of old and new, providing a relaxed mixture of excellent food, good beers and comfortable B&B in a stunning rural location.
The Punch Bowl Inn is situated in the heart of the delightfully unspoilt Lyth Valley at Crosthwaite in Cumbria, alongside the Parish Church of St Mary's. We offer a classic, contemporary style, formal restaurant and a traditional pub menu in our bar with the same menu served throughout.
We are open all year round and each of our accommodation rooms are luxurious and individually furnished with hand-picked throws, flat screen TV's, spacious bathrooms with Bath House toiletries.
Our rates include a complimentary Punch Bowl cream tea. Come and experience our luxury Lake District hotel accommodation. All 9 rooms take their names from the list of past incumbents of Crosthwaite Parish church, starting with Edward Whitelock who was vicar from 1569 - 1572 through to Thomas Heelis who came to St Mary’s in 1900.
The Punch Bowl has built a reputation based on good quality food, fine wines and attentive, friendly service whilst still retaining the homely English pub feel. In the kitchen we pride ourselves on preparing fresh, locally sourced food and presenting it in an honest but exciting fashion. The menu is based on classic flavour combinations using modern techniques and is updated to meet seasonal availability.
The Punch Bowl Inn offers a relaxed and informal, but chic and stylish Lake District wedding venue, which is the ideal choice for your wedding day. If you are looking for something away from the ordinary, this is a perfect venue, small and exclusive offering tailored menus and individual decorations to your taste.
Occupying the whole of the third floor of the Inn, open to the eaves throughout, this enormous room with its massive bed, wall mounted flat screen TV, themed lighting and adjoining bathroom with twin roll top baths and basins is a spectacular place to stay.
Another of our kingsize rooms, Heelis decorated in a warm sage green, with an open ceiling to wooden beams. The window is wide to welcome plenty of sunlight and has a "Treetop view".
Danson is spacious and warm, luxurious and homely with a king size bed and large windows from which to enjoy the views across the valley.
A very spacious room, with a super-king sized bed. Hebblewhite has a neutral and fresh theme for the decor but with splashes of raspberry red for warmth. Hebblewhite can be used as a twin room.
One of our kingsize rooms, Whitelock is light and welcoming in cream and lilac, with a “country cottage” feel. Wooden beams and deep-set window are features in this room, with a view over the terrace eating area, and mature rockery garden.
Peake is a cosy, light room with a standard double bed and ample soft furnishings in fresh green and turquoise. Peake has views across the churchyard and down the Lyth Valley.
This room has a slightly more contemporary feel, with reclaimed elm four poster bed and huge mirror. Enjoy the beautiful views the Lyth Valley has to offer.
