The Church House Inn has been serving travellers and locals since the 14th Century. So come and enjoy a good old country pub with roaring fires and a beautiful garden.

We provide great ale, fine wine, quality home cooked food and beautiful, relaxing accommodation and camping. Set at the foot of a beautiful mountain, known as the Old Man of Coniston, and nestled amidst many walks and trails, our location is central for the wonderful sights and activities available in the Lakes.

We serve traditional menu favourites and great beer. A great beer and wine menu with cask ales and craft beers from celebrated micro breweries such as the award winning Loweswater Gold from Cumbrian Legendary Ales and old favourites from Hawkshead Brewery, Jennings Brewery, and Lancaster Brewery.

Wonderful home-cooked food uncompromising in quality and very generous in portion. Classic British favourites for discerning travellers and locals alike. Locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, passionately prepared with Church House Inn flair!

We appreciate the importance of a good night's sleep. Book a Room from just £79 per room, with 2 guests sharing, including your breakfast! Four en-suite rooms, each with its own personality, classically designed in keeping with our listed building status. Wonderful comfy beds for sleepy heads. We also have five hook ups at £14 per night, with a shower and toilet block, pklease contact the pub directly to book these.

We love the beautiful countryside & opportunities for outdoor activities. We have some amazing events at The Church House Inn for you to enjoy such as Live Music Nights, Food Nights and Beer Festivals! Torver and the Coniston area are over flowing with more wonderful things to do and see. The menus are sample menus given as a guide to the dishes on offer but are subject to seasonal change.
