South - From M6 junction 36, follow signs for South Lakes, Windermere and Ambleside. On arrival in Ambleside: Follow the one way system, through the village (bearing left at the 1st fork and right at the 2nd fork (traffic lights) Follow the road to the White Lion Hotel.

North - M6 Junction 40 - Road: From the North - Junction 40, M6 motorway. Follow signs for Keswick, then the B5322 to Thirlmere/Grasmere and towards Ambleside. On arrival in Ambleside: Follow the one way system, through the village (bearing left at the 1st fork and right at the 2nd fork (traffic lights). Follow the road to the White Lion Hotel.
