Details

This cosy inn has a warm and friendly atmosphere. Serving delicious freshly, prepared food cooked to order and a range of fine traditional ales.

Conveniently located in the village of Perranarworthal on the A39 between Truro and Falmouth, the Norway Inn is ideally placed for business customers in either town. Its location at the head of Restronguet Creek means it is also an idyllic holiday destination. Areas of outstanding natural beauty are within walking distance and the tranquil Fal Estuary is a great place for a holiday away from the pressures of everyday life.

The Norway Inn has a great reputation for good food and is especially renowned for its award-winning carvery. Head Chef Tom Milby is in charge in the kitchen, ensuring that fresh, local seasonal ingredients sourcing as much meat, fish and vegetables are used from the local areas as much as possible. As you would expect they serve a wide range of fresh fish, and the ‘Specials board’ changes regularly ensuring plenty of variety for all their new and regular customers.

They serve food throughout the day and the menu includes traditional pub food as well as more contemporary dishes. If you prefer to eat in a more traditional setting, you are welcome to dine in the restaurant, presided over by Rodney Gill. Rodney is well-known throughout the area, has been at the Norway Inn for many years and is an extremely popular and important member of the team.

St Austell, the West Country's leading brewer provides all the beers, and they also stock Cornish lager, Cornish cider and even Cornish gin. They offer a great range of soft drinks with a selection including the locally-sourced range of fruit juices and fusion drinks from Exeter-based Frobishers, or try one of their delicious coffees or indulge in a cream tea – well you are in Cornwall! Cream teas served from 3pm – 6pm daily, at £5 each.

They have an extensive wine list featuring wine and grape varieties from around the world. They also stock a good range of wines produced in the West Country.

The Norway Inn has returned to its roots as a coaching inn by recently opening four luxury en-suite bedrooms on the first floor. Each room is individually decorated and all contain a supremely comfortable Vi-spring mattress, flat-screen TV, air-conditioning Wi-Fi connectivity and iPod docking station. In addition to these 21st century comforts, the Norway Inn still retains its authentic character and personal touches.
