Welcome to The Mulberry Inn in the quiet setting of Llwynmawr village in the beautiful Ceiriog Valley. A delightful country inn where the warmth and friendliness of your hosts is always apparent.

When choosing your Welsh country retreat you will find they certainly come well recommended – all areas newly refurbished with 4-Star luxury bed and breakfast accommodation in this beautiful Welsh Valley offering superb guestrooms complete with sumptuous beds, plump duvets and crisp fresh linens at honestly affordable prices together with top quality meals and a traditional bar with many wines by the glass and always a hand-pulled beer on tap.

In their bedrooms you will find fresh décor, contemporary furnishings, pocket-sprung beds, fast WiFi and flat-screen television. This is a real get-away location, truly rural, with each room offering quintessentially Welsh valley and village views.

Enjoy the informality of The Pheasant Bar in the original 18th century part of the inn. They have a selection of popular beers, lagers and ciders and usually a hand-drawn real ale such as The Reverend James and no less than eight especially chosen wines served by the glass.

Open for drinks each evening and occasionally Saturday and Sunday from mid-afternoon. A quirky combination of traditional slate flooring and contemporary decor and it’s worth mentioning they're “dog friendly” too. When they are serving evening meals the same menu is available in here as in the dining room.

On warm days it doesn’t come much better than relaxing outside or in the landscaped gardens and enjoying a drink whilst admiring the view of the valley and the hills. During the cooler months a roaring log fire welcomes visitors and the bar becomes the meeting place of the village.

The inn offers a smart yet informal dining experience for those who enjoy freshly prepared contemporary cuisine taking full advantage of locally sourced ingredients and produce. Open each evening from 6pm until last orders at 9pm and on Sundays and Bank Holidays from 6pm until 8pm (reservations always advisable).

The house dinner menu including daily specials is very flexible and offers you the opportunity to choose just a main course or to add starters, desserts and cheeses to suit your appetite and the occasion. A well planned wine list is available too.

Open too of course for private parties and functions at other times and high-days and holidays such as Mothers’ Day. They have special seasonal menus available throughout December. They also cater for meetings and weddings and offer a wonderful wedding package.
