Details

The Castle Hotel provides guests with comfortable and stylish bedrooms for the perfect relaxing break in Carmarthenshire.

People always tell us it’s really hard to find a ‘great pub’ in Wales. Not any more. Long ago, in our distant past we launched the first Welsh gastro pub and we’ve returned to our roots to renovate this charming Inn.

In the best traditions of a Welsh coaching inn it has always been a place for travellers and visitors to rest, to replenish and recharge their batteries. It still is today.

A warm and friendly place to unwind, you’ll find a proper traditional bar, a roaring log fire to toast your toes and plenty of comfy sofas in which to lose yourself with a good book.

Because you’re here to relax completely, our bedrooms promise comfort and style. Think airy & spacious, luxury beds to dream on, flat screen TVs, unfussy but stylish décor and you’ll get the picture. Each room is individually designed, ranging from a dash of modern to traditional luxury. All you have to do is choose the style which suits you.

A ‘Full Welsh’ breakfast feast or choose a lighter options with local juices, fruits, cereals and home made breads. An extensive range of quality tea and ‘Welsh’ gourmet coffee will set you up for the leisurely day ahead.

Dining

Our own love of food guarantees some seriously good food by our talented chefs. Those tempting aromas wafting through the building are likely to be from our Josper Charcoal Oven (a very clever Spanish indoor BBQ and chargrill). It’s a perfect symbol to express our philosophy, ‘Keep it real and simple, make it good and honest’.

Our menu is quintessentially British. We believe in simple, unfussy food and use the local larder and seasonal produce properly. We are open every day for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
