The award-winning Red Lion Inn nestled in the pretty village of Hinxton provides the perfect backdrop for enjoying fabulous food and drink, in the company of friends, family and colleagues.

Welcome to the multi award-winning Red Lion Inn, a privately owned free house pub restaurant with bed & breakfast accommodation that has resided at the heart of the pretty conservation village of Hinxton, Cambridgeshire, since the 16th Century.

This historic, Grade II listed building provides the perfect backdrop for enjoying fabulous food and drink, in the company of friends, family and colleagues. Exposed beams, well stoked fires and Chesterfield sofas invite you to stay a while and relax, while an impressive oak, dry peg extension is an elegant, spacious room in which to dine.

In the warmer months, the inn’s quintessentially English, Cambridge walled garden is a tranquil setting in which to eat, drink and socialise under the watchful gaze of the dovecote and village church clock tower.

The menu comprises contemporary and traditional dishes, created with culinary flair and using only the freshest, locally sourced seasonal produce.

The eight stunning guest rooms are set apart from the rest of the pub, discretely positioned in the grounds for minimum impact on the main Grade II listed building, and enjoying their own private garden area. They are a flint and brick construction, in keeping with many of the houses in the conservation village.

Local Cambridge architect Rosalind Bird can take full credit for this creation. Interior designer, Annie Lambert, completed the look sumptuously to her usual high standards and with no compromise on quality.

All rooms enjoy en suite bath/shower facilities, free internet, TV/radio/CD/DVD and direct dial phone. There is a choice of five Super King (6ft) doubles/twins and three King (5ft) doubles. There are also two rooms that have an interconnecting door – ideal for families and carers.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
