The John Barleycorn remains a very traditional English pub, serving some of the best kept ales in the country.

Our rooms have been awarded four stars by visit britain.com. They have recently been refurnished to a high standard with new flat screen TVs and tea and coffee making facilities.

The John Barleycorn also enjoys an excellent reputation for serving the very best in genuine home prepared and cooked meals. We are proud to look after our guests who have wheat or gluten intolerance. Nearly all of our dishes are, or can be made wheat or gluten free (even sandwiches and pizzas!) Please just ask.
