The Classic Isle Music FestivalCowes Category For Adults, Entertainment
A boutique-style and exclusive cultural festival, the event will highlight three musical genre, based around a classical theme, which will introduce the very best of Classical, Opera, and Choral arrangements.
Friday evening begins with Sean Shibe a Classical guitarist that will play a recital of popular guitar solos followed by the lovely soprano voice of the young Irish classical singer Margaret Keys, of BBC proms and HRH's Prince's Foundation Concert Trust fame. Providing the evening's finale will be the voices of Ben-Johnson and Susanna Hurrell both exciting young Opera Stars who shall provide an enchanting array of operatic favourites until the sun goes down.
Saturday’s performances will commence with a wonderful selection of home grown Isle of Wight talent.Then onto the Kew Wind Orchestra who's first half will be bluesy/show tune mix with the second half consisting of their proms tyep repertoire. The Grammy-nominated Amy Dickson one of the worlds up and coming saxophonists is next to grace our stage, she will leave you open mouthed with the ease and dexterity of her ability playing this fabulous instrument.The stage will once again be graced by Margaret Keys performing a melody of classic songs. Sean Shibe will once again take to the stage and build the suspense to precede the main event which will be a performance from the world-renowned London Mozart Players, who will enchant with a soothing yet inspirational selection of Baroque arrangements.
Sunday’s performances begin with the London Mozart Players returning to provide a relaxing selection of Classical favourites followed by a further recital from an up and coming string ensemble during The Island Talent Showcase. We will then hear from the world renowned classical saxophonist Amy Dickson followed by the the fabulous Martynas both will wow you with their incredible talents. The final performance of the festival will commence with a choral programme from Celeste, an all-female ensemble, whose angelic voices will draw to a close a truly memorable weekend.
During intervals, the audience will be entertained by visual entertainers who will provide a feast for the eyes as well as the ears.
