Windsor Castle is over 1000 years old and has 13 acres of land.  There's so much to discover at Windsor Castle from a priceless collection of over 300,000 books to a doll's house that took 1,500 craftsmen to create. Or why not visit it's kitchen which has been in constant use for 750 years! Visitors to Windsor Castle must see the Changing of the Guard, which is similar to the proceedings at Buckingham Palace.

There is a lot to see and do at Windsor Castle, so please allow enough time to make the most of your visit. We suggest between 2½ and 3 hours. The Castle is at the top of a steep hill, and the visitor route covers long distances. You are advised to wear comfortable shoes
