Visit Kew Gardens - London's only 300 acre UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy the seasons and explore glasshouses, landscapes and 250 years of history at the world's most famous garden. This delightful 300-acre botanical park, once owned by the Royals, features the glass Palm House and other Victorian greenhouses that house a vast variety of exotic plants from around the world.
The Temperate House is the largest surviving Victorian glasshouse in the world, covering 4,880 square metres (5,850 square yards) and extending to 19 metres (63 feet) high. The Temperate House will be closing in summer 2013, for five years, for vital restoration work to be carried out.
Kew Gardens opens at 9:30am, please check the website for closing times as they vary depending on the season.
