Family Friendly Pubs In The Highlands

The Braeval Hotel, Nairn, Morayshire
The Braeval Hotel is a lively, friendly, family-run Highland inn overlooking the beach in the lovely seaside town of Nairn. The Braeval is a Victorian building and, as you would expect, all 10 of the en-suite rooms have their own individual character. They all vary in size and shape and the price varies accordingly. With large windows along the entire length of the restaurant, diners enjoy a spectacular, uninterrupted sea view and with a little luck, spot the native Bottlenose Dolphins swimming offshore. The décor reflects the character of nearby Fishertown. Period photographs of Nairn fishing port adorn the walls along with local memorabilia. 

Mackenzie’s Higland Inn, Aviemore, Highland
Located in the Highland hub of Aviemore, Mackenzies makes the perfect place to base your exploration of the Cairngorms and the Spey valley. The inn is family friendly, with a children's play area and a garden. Homemade food is available all day, and there is a children's menu and a daily specials' board. Mackenzies Highland Inn offers 8 comfortable en-suite bedrooms, perfect to base your highland adventures from. All rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, and toiletries are provided. Some of the rooms have spectacular views over the Cairngorms mountain range. 

The Haugh Hotel, Grantown on Spey, Highland
The Haugh Hotel is a traditional stone built small village inn situated in Cromdale, at the heart of the Scottish Highlands. The lounge bar features a lounge area with an open fire and seating for dining. Enjoy homemade meals or a pint from the selection of real ale, draught and bottled beers. The 6 large en-suite bedrooms each have a comfortable seating area, TV/DVD and tea/coffee making facilities. The 2 larger family rooms each have en-suite bathrooms. The Haugh Hotel is a family friendly establishment. Children are welcome and stay for under half price if under 12 and sharing a room with 2 adults. 

The Loch Ness Inn, Drumnadrochit, Inverness-shire

The King’s Highway, Inverness, Inverness-shire
The King’s Highway is ideally located in the city centre of Inverness. This is a great, central base from which to discover Culloden, Loch Ness and all that the Highlands have to offer. The King's Highway hosts 27 bedrooms and is a hotel operated by JD Wetherspoon comprising of Singles, doubles, twins, families and a disabled equipped room with walk in shower. All of the bedrooms are en-suite with flat screen TV.
